Major New Features

Adding of multiple symbols or whole folders at once
Adding of multiple symbols or whole folders at once (1 of 2)
We now implemented a feature that is already existing in MarketView Desktop also in MarketView Excel Tools.
You can now easily add multiple symbols or even whole folders at once in the Insert window.

Adding of multiple symbols or whole folders at once
Adding of multiple symbols or whole folders at once (2 of 2)
Depending on whether a folder or multiple symbols are selected in the tree, the button in the divider bar in the middle will change and will add either all symbols in that folder or all selected symbols.

Including or excluding empty tenors in Curve and Table view
Including or excluding empty tenors in Curve and Table view
You are now able to control whether empty tenors will be displayed in the Curve and Table views. By default, empty tenors will not be displayed. In the screenshot below, not all the WTI crude futures for 2025 and beyond have traded yet. The ones that did not trade are considered “empty tenors” and are not displayed.
If “include empty tenors” is selected then those tenors will be either left blank or shown as “#N/A”, depending on a new option in the Preferences menu:

You are now able to see the values of the different tenors on the right side of the Insert window:

New Chart settings menu for Curve view
New Chart settings menu for Curve view
The settings for the curve chart display have been moved to a separate menu in the “Insert Curve” window. If “Show Chart” is selected, the separate menu allows to edit the chart title and now also has a feature to control how empty data points are displayed in the chart:

Access to Enverus applications on Sphere platform
Access to Enverus applications on Sphere platform
We added a new menu item that makes it easier to access our Enverus Trading & Risk solutions CurveBuilder, Critical List, Customer DataHub, Self-Service Workflows and Curve Traceability, which are located on the Sphere platform. If the specific menu item is clicked, the selected application will open in the web browser.

Smaller improvements

General: The “Edit” and “Delete” buttons that were shown for Enverus CurveBuilder symbols in the symbol tree were removed.
General: If one or multiple symbol(s) are copy/pasted into the “Enter symbol to add” box in the Insert window then the symbol(s) can now be edited manually before the system will look up the symbol(s).
Curve: A direction field was added to the Preferences menu in the Curve view. You can now control if the earliest or the latest tenor is displayed first.
Table: The “Keep Existing Formatting” functionality was added to the preference menu of the Table view.
Options: The “No headers” option was removed from the Preferences menu in the Option view because it did not make sense for the structure of the option table.

Bug Fixes

General: Excel Tools was crashing if a file was opened and its workbook was hidden.
History: The “Settle as Close” option was not working for inline formulas and MarketScript formulas.
History: The error message “An item with the same key has already been added” was shown if symbols from our Customer DataHub solution were displayed in Excel Tools and then updated.
Curve: Certain cells displayed the wrong values in a Curve table if the same symbol was added twice but each symbol had different fields selected.
Curve: The GvForwardCurve formula, which is used to display forward curve data in Excel Tools was not returning an error message if an invalid symbol or field was used.
Curve: Excel Tools was crashing if the “Insert Curve” window was opened and “Cell Reference” was selected for the curve date but then no cell was selected as reference.
Quote: If the option fields “Imp Vol” and “Theo Cal” were added to a quote table then no values were displayed for those fields.
Options: The field “Volume” was missing and could not be selected for the Options view.
Table: If multiple curves were included in a table and if only some of them were modified, then pressing the “Update” button resulted in a new version of all the selected curves being created, not just for the curves that were modified.
Properties: If the header orientation was changed in the Preference menu then the setting was not remembered next time the Properties view was used.
