The Chat toolbar, like all component toolbars, provides access to the components Edit Dialog as well as the ability to save the current settings as the default. In addition, it provides a copy tool and shortcut access to several key features found on the Edit Dialog.
Edit
Dialog (
): Invokes
the edit dialog which allows the user to set display options or choose
a new public chat room.
Save
as Default (
): Saves
the current component configuration as a template for future instances
of the Public Chat component.
Copy
to Clipboard (
): Copies
the contents of the component discussion area to the system clipboard.
Chat
Rooms (
): Allows
the user to switch to a different Public Chat room.
Show
Chat Room Users (
): Allows
the user to toggle the right panel that displays Chat Room participants
and members.
Show
Horizontal Grid Lines (
): Toggles
the display of horizontal grid lines in the discussion area.
Show
Vertical Grid Lines (
): Toggles
the display of vertical grid lines in the discussion area.
Like all MarketView component toolbars, the toolbar can be hidden by clicking the minus sign at the far left of the toolbar. Once hidden, a small line is still visible, clicking anywhere on that line will re-display the toolbar.
