The Symbol Tree/Symbol Slider allows you to scroll through all the available exchanges and data categories to find the symbols you want for your query. It will also display any User-Defined Formulas saved. The Symbol Tree is accessed through the Edit Dialog Box, and has a number of settings available.
You have the option of changing the amount of data to display and the way in which the tree appears by accessing the settings.

Symbols are grouped by exchange or category. Your Filter settings will be shown at the bottom of the tree:
You may change your Filters by clicking on the Settings icon.
In the example below, we've drilled down to the NYMEX - New York Mercantile Exchange. To see the commodities found in this exchange, double-click on the name:

The Symbol Tree opens to show you the commodities found in that exchange. Double-click on the desired commodity:

You'll continue to go deeper into the tree:

You can always move BACK one step by clicking the < arrow, or go all the way back to the start of the Tree by clicking the HOME button:

Continue through the tree until you find the symbol you want. To move it to the box on the right (your selected symbols), double-click on the symbol or simply click on it once and then press ENTER.
To select MULTIPLE symbols, hold your CTRL key, and click on each desired symbols. When you have all of the desired symbols selected, press your ENTER key to move the range to the right side of the dialog box.
To select a RANGE of symbols, hold your SHIFT key, and click the first symbol in the range you want. Then, click the last symbol in the range. (All of the symbols in the range will be highlighted). Press your ENTER key to move the range to the right side of the dialog box.
The Symbol Tree remembers the last exchange/category you navigated, and the next time you initiate a Quotes, Chart, or Historical query it will display your most recent symbol choices.
