Spreadsheets created in the older-versioned software called MarketView ExcelTools version 1.0 are not compatible with MarketView ExcelTools 2.0.

 

If you have spreadsheets that were created using MarketView ExcelTools version 1.0, each spreadsheet must be converted to the new application before they will run properly. GlobalView has provided a one-click utility that will perform this conversion for you.

 

To convert older-versioned spreadsheets

 

1. First, make the Convert button visible in your GlobalView toolbar.
   1. Open the Preferences dialog by clicking the pop-out arrow in the bottom right corner of the GlobalView toolbar.
   2. Check the box labeled Show convert button in the toolbar.
   3. Click Close.
      
      Result: The Convert button is added to the toolbar:
      
      
2. Open the spreadsheet you wish to convert.
3. Click the Convert button.
   
   Result: The spreadsheet is automatically converted to the new version of ExcelTools.
4. Save the spreadsheet.
5. Repeat steps 2-4 for all older-versioned spreadsheets.

Note: When all spreadsheets have been converted, you may want to remove the Convert button from your toolbar, as it is no longer needed. To do this, open the Preferences dialog from the GlobalView toolbar, uncheck the box labeled Show convert button in the toolbar, and click Close.
