Tom Mallon Joins GlobalView as Vice President, Strategy and Alliances

(Chicago, IL – May 28, 2014) GlobalView, a leading provider of data management solutions for the energy and commodity markets, announces that Tom Mallon has joined GlobalView as Vice President, Strategy and Alliances.

Tom brings 22 years of experience in the energy, commodities, and market data industries. In his new role, Tom will focus on GlobalView’s strategic partnerships and alliances as well as drive key marketing and business development initiatives.

His proven track record of developing and implementing strategy in diverse business environments gives me great confidence that he will be instrumental in our work to identify exciting new growth opportunities at GlobalView.”

Prior to joining GlobalView, Tom held the position of global director at Interactive Data where he was responsible for driving strategic growth in IDC’s energy and commodities businesses. Prior to that, Tom was the head of commodities and energy for the Americas at Thomson Reuters, where he developed strategies, sales campaigns, content partnerships and product enhancements as well as supported the strategic growth plans for commodities and energy business in North America, Canada and Latin America.

In addition, Tom has also held various senior management positions in strategic planning, global business development, and project management at the New York Mercantile Exchange. While there he focused on the development of electronic markets for the trading of energy and metals futures, physical natural gas and pipeline capacity, as well as the clearing of over-the-counter (OTC) energy transactions.
